Recent acquisition of two full-service tax and accounting firms sparks expansion

In March of 2024, we announced our acquisition of two full-service accounting firms in Ohio, Mark Murphy and Associates of Upper Arlington and Lee and Associates of St. Clairsville.

Reintroduced now as Arvo Advisors, our sister company creates exciting new value thanks to each office’s expertise developed over several decades of dedicated service to their tax, accounting, and bookkeeping clients.

Since the acquisitions, Arvo Tech’s expert tech engineers, product designers, and leadership team have invested time on the ground at each office to observe processes, identify opportunities, and develop relationships between staff. This dynamic environment has resulted in several strategic initiatives that are set to redefine horizons for both parties.

As quoted in the original press release, Mark Murphy, founder of Mark Murphy and Associates, said, “Arvo is a proven leader in the market and has a track record of supporting business owners by simplifying access to tax credits, so we’re thrilled to be part of a team dedicated to helping companies prepare for their financial future.”

Terry Lee, founder of Lee and Associates, added, “We realize the value of bringing these disparate parts of tax planning into one platform–and with the integration of Arvo’s deep tax expertise and actionable insights, our team can serve even more small businesses.”

The forthcoming new services and products align with Arvo Tech’s history of strategically positioning itself to better serve small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). Originally founded in 2013 by tax experts in order to extend the benefits of employment tax credit programs to every businesses who qualifies, regardless of their size, Arvo Tech has recently illustrated their commitment to SMBs through developing impactful partnerships with leading payroll and ATS providers, including Gusto, Bullhorn, TempWorks, and more. By rolling out seamlessly-integrated tech solutions to users of these platforms, Arvo Tech democratizes access to tax credit services SMBs may not otherwise have the capacity to claim.

Now, we’re poised to do the same for a myriad of bookkeeping, tax, and accounting services.
